Derek was born and bred in Limavady and has a vast knowledge of the local property and mortgage market with over 30 years experience having worked as a Branch Manager for Brian Morton & Co and Halifax Property Services. Derek decided in the millenium year that he really wanted to open his own property and mortgages company and that's exactly what happened the following year, in September 2001.
Derek says, "I saw this fantastic opportunity to open a property and mortgage shop in Limavady and thank goodness, I haven't looked back since. Yes, we have had some great years and some really scary times recently, but we have come out the other side fitter and stronger. I am still amazed at our success and with the help of my hardworking, experienced staff and the support of all our clients and local businesses, we feel that we are now very well established and are looking forward with great excitement to the future. My aim was to provide a friendly, professional and confidential home-buying and financing service. To achieve this I required a prominent, modern office and experienced, enthusiastic staff and I am proud to say that here at DMC Properties and Mortgages we have reached that goal."
Scott is a local lad and he knows every house and street in Limavady. He has a great rapport with our clients and works extremely hard to get the right result for them. Scott is very experienced in the local property market, having worked for Century 21 and then as manager of McIvor Homes in Limavady before visiting Australia where he again worked in an estate agency.
Scott returned home and was employed by Philip Tweedie & Co in Coleraine before joining DMC Properties and Mortgages in December 2012.
Julie Ann is a local girl who has worked in the property and legal industry for over 15 years, formerly with the Mellors Estate Agency chain in Manchester, before returning home to work in a local solicitors office where she gained invaluable knowledge of property conveyancing, finally joining DMC Properties and Mortgages in October 2001.
Julie Ann has the important role of trying to make sure that the sale actually completes, communicating with our clients and the solicitors throughout the contract stage. She has an excellent relationship with all the local solicitors and keeps both our vendors and purchasers informed at all times throughout the sales process.
Steven is our newest and youngest recruit, joining DMC in January 2017 after working for a well known energy firm and also gaining valuable experience with Citizens Advice Bureau.
Steven is an enthusiastic and pleasant natured young man, and is well liked by our clients.
